Fume Wet Scrubber
Hydrokleen
Hydrokleen 203 is designed to the industry standard packing assisted water dilution method. It is thus suitable for removal of water soluble gasses and dust. Through careful selection of materials and air flow optimization, Hydrokleen 203 ensures maximum air flow in a compact setup with minimal pressure drop.
The Hydrokleen 203 ensures better efficiency that other designs as it incorporates more retention time and surface area for the fumes to dilute into the water.
How it works
Contaminated air enters the scrubber system from below and passes through a packed bed filled with scrubber me-dia. The packed bed is wetted from above with a liquid spray.
As the contaminated air comes into contact with the water, water-soluble gases, vapors, aerosols, and particulates become dissolved or react with the liquid.
The trapped contaminants flows with the water and are discharged into a scrubbing liquor sump tank.
The “scrubbing liquor” is recirculated, with make-up water added as needed to replace water that has evaporated. The scrubbing liquor is usually dosed with neutralizing chemicals to control the liquid pH. The treated air is released through the exhaust port on top of the scrubber.
